Adriano KonialidisAdriano has over 17 years’ experience in international relations, stakeholder engagement and marcomms global strategies. Fluent in four languages, he is half Greek, half Uruguayan, born in Switzerland, and has lived most of his life in three different continents.
During his last role as Director, and later Vice President for International Participants at Expo2020Dubai, Adriano led a team responsible for managing and fostering relationships with participating countries, ensuring national goals were achieved whilst identifying and unlocking commercial opportunities through Expo2020’s platform. In his role, Adriano was responsible for Latin America & the Caribbean, and various European and African countries. During his 14 years in Dubai, Adriano has worked at the Office of the Minister of State for International Cooperation and at Falcon and Associates, a strategic advisory deepening the understanding of Dubai’s vision through international relations and strategic engagement programs, including the UAE’s bid to host Expo 2020. Adriano also worked directly with HRH Prince Ali bin Hussein during both of his campaigns to FIFA President through strategic engagements with Spanish and French-speaking countries. Prior to Falcon & Associates, Adriano worked in various positions within the Communications and Marketing industry in Dubai, London and Geneva, advising international clients such as Visa, The Economist Group, Barclays, Samsung, the UN, amongst others. Since ending his tenure at Expo2020Dubai, Adriano has been supporting and advising various clients on potential opportunities throughout several industries. Adriano is passionate about music, arts and culture. In 2011 he founded a music label, in 2017 a music festival, and since 2020 he sits on the Advisory Board of the first international music academy in Greece. |
André Dourado
André was born in Portugal in the 1960’s and studied Law & History, alongside Culture Management and Communication.
He lives in Dubai since 2017 and has been working as a Strategic Adviser for International & Cultural Affairs, for various clients in the UAE. In his last role at Expo2020Dubai, as Director, and later Vice President for International Participants, Andre led a multinational team responsible for managing and fostering relationships with participating countries, ensuring the U.A.E.’s and their own national goals were achieved, whilst at the same time identifying and unlocking institutional and commercial opportunities through Expo2020’s platform. He was responsible for the Portuguese and French-speaking countries in three different continents, as well as most of Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Southern Africa participating nations. Andre brings over 30-years’ experience of working within public and private sector. In Portugal he has worked as Cultural Advisor to a Prime-Minister, led national projects as a Director-General of various cultural institutions and has advised a large number of Chairmen and CEOs of various companies and foundations. His first experience of working in an Expo was in 1992, in Genoa, Italy, after which he went on to work extensively in international relations for culture and heritage for the Portuguese government. During this time he also contributed to various media outlets through regular opinion pieces on arts & culture and cultural policies. He was a member of various boards, including the board of Volunteers associations focusing on Heritage and Artistic Education. Today he still is a member of the Consultive Board of IPDAL, the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and Caribe, Lisbon. André speaks four languages and possibly a fifth. He lives for - and is surrounded by – books, whilst he enjoys gardening in his spare time. |
